DS “Opera Web Browser” Less than Amasing
June 29, 2006So says QJ.net, the DS’s upcoming “Opera” Web browser will not be able to view Flash (.swf) or PDF files. Not only that but it will also not even have sound!
If this hasn’t tilted you away from wanting one you can pre order a copy from Play-Asia.
or
Both for $49.99 US and $2.60 for shipping.
The main browser will be a regular DS cartridge though all memory storage is ina GBA cart.
If you don’t want to use the generic tiny touch screen keyboard, this will also feature a “Brain Age” like writing system, in which you will write what you want as if you were using a pencil and it will assume the closest letter to it.
Though some of the stuff looks pretty good, the low compatibility really turns me off to it.
New Media For Fire Emblem Wii
June 29, 2006Just recently released, this lone concept art has lots of gamers drooling over the possiblities of FE Wii.
The girl pictured is apparently a relative of Ilyana, a mage in the previous installment of Fire Emblem, titled Path of Radiance, although we have no offical confirmation of this. However, Nintendo has announced that Fire Emblem Wii takes place directly after the events of Path of Radiance, meaning that it will be in the same continent, Tellius.
Nintendo has also said that some characters will return, among those the theif, Sothe. Therefore, there is quite a high chance that this is either Ilyana herself, or a relative of hers.
Wii controller has been changed!!!
June 29, 2006Quite interesting indeed, the plus and minus buttons have been changed… What IS their purpose, anyways?
Image of Opened Flap
June 29, 2006There have been many rumors of what the Wii’s mysterious flap can hold, and viola, somebody has already unearthed pictures of the flap in opened form. There’s no camera, as some have suspected, but there is an interesting “SYNC” button. Of course, this isn’t the final version of the system, so perhaps there is more to the flap than meets the eye.
Wiimote to have attached wrist strap
June 29, 2006This piece of news is coming from people that were at E3… Apparently, the wrist straps that were attached to the Wiimote at E3 2006 weren’t merely for the show, but will also be included in the final package. All of your worries of dropping the remote while making exaggerated motions are gone now.
Yoshi’s Island 2 DS preview
June 29, 2006If you owned a Super NES, chances are pretty good you have fond memories of a game called Yoshi’s Island. Shockingly, this is its sequel — which means that unlike its semi-sequels (Yoshi’s Story, Yoshi Touch & Go, etc.) it both looks and and sounds like it plays like the original. And that is very good news.
Drunken Nintendo Rep Slips Wii Launch Date
June 28, 2006This is very odd news, but apparently a Nintendo Rep who had too much to drink hinted that the Wii would launch on October 30th in Japan and 10 days later in the US and Europe. This leads me thinking back to when Nintendo said that a WORLDWIDE simultaneous launch would happen. Nintendo stated a while ago that they would reveal more Wii details in September, so we can probably expect more rumors and speculation until then. So its safe to say that we can’t lay our cards on the table just yet, well at least not till September anyway.
Likely or Not Likely? We’ll have to wait and see, because, remember this is just a rumor and not anything official.
