Okay, I’ve got some nice news for all you Pokemon fanatics out there! First of all, Wi-Fi details from an NSider member… I am not sure where he got them, but after checking Serbeii.net, they seem fairly accurate… Let’s hope for the elimination of Friend Codes in this game!
Global Trading: First, the global trading system allows Pokemon trainers who are searching for a specific Pokemon to enter in the name of the Pokemon and bring up a list of other trainers who are in possession of that Pokemon. You can then approach one of those people and propose a trade.
Battle Tower: Battle Tower is a place where any Pokemon player can go to and battle with other players, without having to exchange friend codes. The Tower features an upload system in which your team is upload to the tower, where you will be pitted against fellow trainers of a similar level. Perhaps best of all is the voice chat feature that will allow you to chat with your opponent.
Pokemon Center Battling: This form of Wi-Fi play is for battling a specific person or friend. In order to battle an opponent, you will need to exchange Friend Codes with them.
